The Village of Speen

The Hare and Hounds is situated in the picturesque village of Speen, a historic area of West Berkshire.

The village of Speen is a historic settlement that predates the nearby town of Newbury. Situated 2 miles northwest of Newbury, Speen features several clustered settlements. The largest among these is Speen village, home to the Hare and Hounds, which is directly connected to Newbury. Other nearby towns, separated from the town by the A34, include Bagnor, Stockcross, Woodspeen, and Marsh Benham.
